Guitar Tutorial: Dreams – The Cranberries
Dolores O’Riordan, a lead singer from The Cranberries has left us, left the music world on Jan 15th. I am not a huge fan compare to so many of you ( my wife loves them too). But I bet their music has inspired many of you, some songs has the same effect to me too. I feel is important to share with you guys and this is always one of my favorite to jam with.
Let’s remembering Dolores whenever we listen to their music or play their music. There’s no doubt that The Cranberries has contributed so much to the music world since 90’s.
Last, we love you Dolores and thank you for sharing your music with us. RIP

Note: You can choose play with patterns or chords below
Playing tips:
- Before following the sequence below, please DOWNLOAD and refer to tutorial tab pdf. If you feel is too complicated for you to play this song like how I played. You can choose to play with Pattern B almost for the entire song (including Pattern E on bridge). The differences was I played with few dynamic in it.
- At the very last part of the song, Riff A1 is very similar to Riff A. And I played with free time*, this is because if I am having a jam session with friend, I prefer gradually slow down the playing to “end the song”. But you can just strum once on E chord to end the song too. =)
- Pattern F can be tricky, you need a good wrist work on strums. If you can’t, you can always use 1n2n3n4n to strum the chords. (works well if just down strokes, or down up).
